We can expect sunny skies today across much of the state with isolated showers on Kauai. Highs today are expected to be between 77 and 82, and Lows between 66 and 71. Winds will be variable at 15 mph.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service are monitoring a front approaching from the north, that is expected to stall north of Kauai on Wednesday. Another front will then develop northwest of the islands, bringing unsettled weather to the state on Thursday and Friday. The system is expected to bring possible thunderstorms and advance through the islands on Saturday.

Molokai (Windward): Today, sunny. Highs 71-78. Light winds. Tonight, mostly clear. Lows 55-68. Light winds.

Molokai (Leeward): Today, sunny. Highs 73-82. Light winds. Tonight, mostly clear. Lows 57-71. Light Winds.

Kahoolawe: Today, sunny. Highs near 81. Light winds. Tonight, mostly clear. Lows 61-71. Light winds.

Wailuku, Maui: Today, sunny. Highs 69-80. Light winds becoming northwest up to 10 mph late in the morning, then shifting to the northeast around 10 mph in the afternoon. Tonight, mostly clear. Lows 56-67 with light winds.

Lahaina, Maui: Today, sunny. Highs 77-82. Light winds. Tonight, mostly clear. Lows 62-72. Light winds.

Kahului, Maui: Today, sunny. Highs 79-84. Light winds becoming north around 10 mph in the late morning and afternoon. Tonight, mostly clear. Lows 59-68. Light winds.

Windward Haleakala: Hana and Makawao, Maui: Today, sunny. Highs around 79 at the shore and around 66 at the 5,000 foot elevation. Light winds becoming east up to 10 mph in the late morning and afternoon. Tonight, mostly clear. Lows around 68 at the shore and 51 at the 5,000 foot elevation. Light winds.

Leeward Haleakala: Kihei and Makena, Maui: Today, sunny. Highs around 82 at the shore and around 69 at the 5,000 foot elevation. Light winds becoming southwest around 10 mph I the late morning and afternoon. Tonight, mostly clear. Lows around 64 at the shore to around 51 at the 5,000 foot elevation. Light winds.

Haleakala Summit: Today, sunny. Highs around 65 at 7000 feet to around 60 at the summit. Light winds becoming southwest up to 10 mph in the late morning and afternoon. Tonight, mostly clear. Lows around 48 at 7000 feet to around 43 at the summit. Light winds becoming southwest up to 10 mph in the late evening and overnight.
