The odds are in favor that either you or someone you know has benefited from Hale Makua Health Services. After all, they have been providing critical care for Maui’s disabled and frail elderly patients for over sixty years.

On Saturday, May 28 The Pineapple Grill at Kapalua will host their sixth anniversary gala to benefit Hale Makaua. To date, this annual event has raised over $105,000. The gala features award-winning Pacific Island cuisine prepared by Executive Chef Ryan Luckey and his culinary team. Edibles will include seafood, carving and sizzle stations, plus canapés and champagne. Guests will also enjoy premium wine stations, a martini ice luge bar, and new to this year’s gala, a silent auction.

Proceeds from this event go directly to fund Hale Makua’s Luana program, which means to live in comfort and ease in Hawaiian. The goal of Luana is to shift the culture from the medical model of care to one that is resident-directed, and to create a more home-like environments at Hale Makua.
