Citizens of the Lonestar State will be receiving a big dose of aloha straight from Maui pretty soon. Maui Brewing Co. has just signed a distribution agreement with Ben E. Keith Beverage Distributors, who has begun distributing Bikini Blonde Lager, Big Swell IPA, Mana Wheat and CoCoNut PorTeR beers in cans and on draught throughout the state of Texas. Additionally, limited amounts of seasonal or guest beers will also be available in the near future.
Texans lucky enough to have tasted some of the brews in Maui returned home itching for more and after numerous letters were sent to the brewery’s founder, Garrett Marrero, the decision was finally made to send some beer out in the spring.
Maui Brewing Co. is one of just two genuinely local Hawaiian breweries (along with Hawaii Nui on the Big Island), brewing and packaging 100% of its products in the state. The microbrews of Maui Brewing Co. have been recognized as Hawaii’s #1 craft beer since 2005 and the company has a fervent commitment to the local economy and environment, using only eco-friendly materials.
To sample some Bikini Blonde Lager, CoCoNut PorTeR, or any of the other handcrafted brews, visit the 7-barrel brewpub in Kahana, also offering a diverse menu of soups, salads, sliders, pizzas, pastas and more. Call (808) 669-3474 for more information.
