A political action committee on Maui holds a “Make Them Pay Tax Day Protest” this afternoon in Kahului. The MoveOn.org Political Action group is urging a dozen corporations, including banks, internet companies and oil giants, to pay their share of taxes in America.

“We are protesting on Tax Day because corporate tax dodgers have a responsibility to our community and our nation to pay their fair share,” said Jeanie Vance, regional organizer for MoveOn.org.

The Maui event is part of a larger nationwide Tax Day campaign organized by the group to advance a progressive agenda.
