Celebrate Cinco de Mayo this year at one of Maui's hottest Mexican eateries.

Mexican fare is a must tomorrow and many of Maui’s festive eateries will be packed with celebrators on the prowl for tacos, enchiladas, margaritas and more. Check out our favorite Cinco de Mayo picks below:

Fred’s Mexican Café in Kihei

Starting with an assortment of breakfast drink specials, the Cinco de Mayo celebration at Fred’s really kicks off at 4 p.m., when Gringo Mariachi Band shows up with the tequila girls, and drink specials tempt guests with tequila, margaritas and beer. Enjoy a high-energy atmosphere with panoramic views of the Pacific while sampling Fred favorites like grande nachos covered with delicious black beans, melted cheese, diced tomatoes and jalapenos and combos like the El Nino, a chicken tostada and a cheese enchilada served with Mexican rice & black beans. Learn more by calling (808) 891-8600.

The Hyatt Regency Maui is hosting a party on the pool deck from 2-6 p.m., with a DJ spinning Latino tunes, specials on Sauza tequila, top shelf margaritas and beer, and menu items like Dorado Ceviche, Tostadas de Camarones, and Carne Asada Burritos. Call the Hyatt Regency Maui for more details at (808) 661-1234.

Milagros in Paia

If you happen to be in Paia, enjoy $3 coronas all day long and feast on menu favorites like flautas, their self-proclaimed “Best Tacos” on the island, and massive burritos like the Classic Rice and Bean Burrito or the Grilled Chicken and Feta Burrito. Eat al fresco on hip Baldwin Street while you celebrate. Contact Milagros at (808) 579-8755.

Mulligan’s on the Blue in Wailea

Put a little bit of Irish into your Cinco de Mayo. Mulligan’s doesn’t only show love for St. Patty’s Day; their May 5th fiesta will include a performance by Willie K. and $3 aluminum Bud and Bud Light specials from 6-11 p.m. Call 808-874-1131 for more info.
