Kokomo Road in Haiku is now open. It was temporarity closed due to a brush fire reported earlier this afternoon.

Maui firefighters are responding to a brush fire in Haiku at this hour. Maui police were alternating traffic at last report in the area near 1490 Kokomo Road due to a brush fire in the area. We will post more information as it becomes available. In the interim, motorists can expect delays, and should avoid the area if possible.
