The APEC 2011 Hawaii Host Committee issued yet another Request for Proposals today for training curriculum development services related to volunteer and workforce training in preparation for the APEC 2011 Leaders’ Week that will take place in Honolulu on November 7–13.

Training sessions are anticipated to occur from June 2011 through October 2011 and the training provider will coordinate, conduct and produce curriculum materials for volunteers and industry workforce training professionals.

“Educating and training the people who will be interfacing with APEC delegates and attendees will no doubt heighten our level of hospitality and demonstrate that Hawaii is prepared to host meetings of this magnitude and is a world-class meetings destination,” said Peter Ho, Hawaii Host Committee Chair, in a statement today. “Hawaii is already recognized for its warm people and aloha spirit, and providing a well-trained workforce that is educated about APEC will exhibit hospitality infused with Hawaiian cultural values.”
