Staff Shortage Causes Missed Trash Collection in Kula

The County of Maui’s Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division missed trash collection on a route in the Kula service area today.  The missed pick-up was due to a staff shortage.

Affected areas include:

  • Kula Kai Subdivision
  • Ainakula Road
  • Upper and Lower Kimo Drive
  • Piliwale Road
  • Omaopio Road
  • Holopuni Road
  • Kulalani Drive
  • Kulalani Circle
  • Lower Kula Road
  • and all surrounding streets

County officials with the Solid Waste Division apologized for the inconvenience and anticipate picking-up trash on the missed route tomorrow, Wednesday, June 1, 2011.
