The Hawaii State Department of Taxation is holding a series of workshops in August to educate the public on online tax filing and to review recent 2011 Legislative tax law changes.

Tax professionals and the public at large are encouraged to attend the workshops which will be held on Oahu, Maui, Kaua’i and Hawai’i Island from Aug. 11 to Aug. 23.

“These workshops promote our desire to partner with our community’s tax professionals to educate and increase awareness of new tax law changes, said Director of Taxation Fred Pablo, in a written statement released yesterday. “We want to ensure that the tax laws applied consistently, uniformly, and fairly for taxpayers.”
