2 Schofield Soldiers Killed in Afghanistan

Two soldiers from Schofield Barracks in Hawai’i were killed during operations this week in Afghanistan.

Staff Sgt. James M. Christen, 29, of Loomis, Calif. and Sgt. Jacob Molina, 27, of Houston, Texas suffered fatal wounds when enemy forces attacked their vehicle with an improvised explosive device in the Kunar province.  The incident was reported on Tuesday, July 19, 2011.

The two soldiers died while in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

The men were assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
