South Alu Road Now OPEN After Wailuku Accident

South Alu Road in Wailuku is now open for traffic in both directions.  The road was closed at 12:10 a.m. following a traffic accident early this morning that damaged a utility pole.  Crews remained on scene at 1p.m., but the road was cleared and traffic was flowing in both directions.

South Alu Road in Wailuku remains closed due to a traffic accident reported early this morning.  At 7 a.m., authorities said crews remained on scene, where they continued work to repair a utility pole that was damaged in the accident.  The road was closed at 12:10 a.m. between Iao Valley Road and Alaneo Place.

Maui police have closed South Alu Road in Wailuku due to a traffic accident.  The road was closed at 12:10 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2011 between Iao Valley Road and Alaneo Place.  We will post more information as it becomes available.
