The Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii has named Angela Nolan general manager for The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas, located in north Kaanapali area.

Nolan has been working on Maui in the hospitality industry since starting her career with an college internship at The Westin Maui Resort & Spa in 1995. Since then she has leadership positions at the Kapalua Bay Hotel, the Sheraton Maui Resort, and played an integral senior leadership role in the opening of Trump International Hotel and Tower Las Vegas in 2008, and the Planet Hollywood Towers by Westgate, Las Vegas in 2009.

Since April 2010, Nolan has served as hotel manager for The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas and played an instrumental role in the resort’s inclusion as an AAA-approved, Four Diamond resort in 2011 and 2012. This recognition was a first for the resort and also ensured its ranking in the Top Ten listing of Lahaina hotels in TripAdvisor in 2011.

“Angela’s passion for hospitality has proved effective in her impressive work with senior-level management at both local and mainland properties,” said Keith Vieira, senior vice president and director of operations for Starwood in Hawaii and French Polynesia. “We’re excited to see this passion thrive even more in her new role as general manager for The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas.”

The Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii has 11 properties across the Hawaiian Islands and more than 1,025 properties in 100 countries and territories with 145,000 employees.
