Artist, Wyland Will Be in Lahaina

The marine life artist known as Wyland will be in residence on August 19, from 6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. to unveil some new works and mingle with guests at the Lahaina Wyland Gallery on Front Street.

This world renowned artist continues to travel the globe, stopping in remote and hard to reach places, as well as huge metropolitan cities to promote his work, his causes, and his eco-friendly, marine-life loving way of life.

In addition to creating large scale art pieces and smaller works, Wyland has created The Wyland Foundation, a non-profit to establish art programs, classroom instruction and environmental awareness in the educational system. According to the www.wylandfoundation.org website, the foundation has worked with over 1 million children since its inception in 1993.
