Paia’s Fourth Friday is an event held on the last Friday of each month. Local shops in Paia Town provide special sales, live music, art, presentations, food, and drinks.

On August 26, festivities began at 6 p.m. As many as 25 local businesses contributed to this month’s event.

Live music could be heard  in many  restaurants as well as on the street. DJ Ray Masters blasted from the Paia Courtyard, blending into The Neverminds strumming across the street at Charley’s Restaurant and Saloon. Passing Grace Beauty, harp music played. Down on Baldwin Ave., musician Gerod Shea sang rock lullabies to passersby.

The smell of restaurants open late and several styles of music humming in nearly every shop attracted a large and diverse crowd.
