Red Cross Disaster Training Offered in Wailuku

Maui residents who are interested in volunteering to be responders with the American Red Cross are invited to free training this month in Wailuku.

The Maui Chapter of the American Red Cross is offering the disaster services training on four days beginning on Monday, October 17, 2011.

Classes are scheduled over two weeks on Monday and Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Red Cross Office in Wailuku (located at 45 North Market Street).

The complete schedule of classes this month is as follows:

  • Monday, October 17, 2011: Disaster Services Orientation
  • Wednesday, October 19, 2011:  Shelter Operations
  • Monday, October 24, 2011:  Shelter Simulation
  • Wednesday, October, 26, 2011:  Disaster Assessment
