The grounds of ‘Iolani Palace were closed last night, and will remain closed through November 15th due to the ongoing Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit.

Attorney General David Louie and DLNR Chair William Aila, joined in saying the action was deemed necessary for the protection of the area, and for the safety and welfare of persons and property.

It is part of the state’s effort to secure and protect several critical state areas during the APEC conference.
