VIDEO: Maui Youth Compete in Pre-Tournament Free Throw Contest

[flashvideo file=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hm8VSpoB408 /]  Eight youth basketball players from Maui had the opportunity to rub elbows with NCAA coaches from the EA SPORTS Maui Invitational Basketball tournament today.

The students were paired up with coaches who competed in a free throw contest to raise funds for local schools on the island.

The Charity Free Throw event is one of the ways tournament officials give back to the Maui community while on island.

Each of the schools competing in the event received a contribution for their participation including winning school, Sacred Hearts.  Other schools competing included Iao Intermediate, Lahaina Intermediate, Baldwin High School, St. Anthony, Maui Waena Intermediate, and Lokelani Intermediate.
