Maui Police have started a “Great Wall of SPAM” at the Wailuku Police Station as a donation drive for the holiday season.

The building blocks of blue Hormel cans will be collected over the next week, and donated to a local charity.

By December 8, an estimated 120 cans were collected.  The goal is to reach at least 770 cans by December 22, 2011.

To participate, the public is invited to drop off donations of 12-ounce cans of regular “blue” Hormel SPAM to either the Wailuku Police Station, or the Mayor’s Office on the ninth floor of the County Building.
