Hawaiian Airlines is accepting applications to fill up to 175 new flight attendant positions for its transpacific and neighbor island routes.

Applications will be accepted until tomorrow, February 14, and must be submitted online to Hawaiian’s website (www.HawaiianAir.com/AboutUs/Employment-Opportunities/) for consideration.

The flight attendant expansion positions are being added to support new services in the coming months.

Hawaiian launches daily nonstop service between Honolulu and Fukuoka on April 16, and Honolulu and New York City on June 5.  Flights are also being increased to daily service year-round between Honolulu and Seoul on July 16.

Here on Maui, the airline is reintroducing nonstop daily service between Maui and Los Angeles this summer from June 21 to August 18.  The Honolulu to Los Angeles route adds a third daily flight year round on July 7.

Earlier this year, Hawaiian announced plans to increase its neighbor island flight schedule by an extra 23 to 25 flights daily.  The expansion is made possible with the addition of three Boeing 717-200 aircraft to the Hawaiian Airlines fleet.

Hawaiian currently has more than 4,200 employees, the most in the company’s history, and plans to increase its workforce by an additional 500 employees this year, company officials said in a press release.

Qualified candidates will be contacted by Hawaiian if they are selected to participate in an initial interview later this month.
