A business showcase on July 28 at the Queen Ka`ahumanu Center will feature the winners of the recent “Kids, Inc.” contest.

Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, Winning Kinds, Inc. participants will set up shop at Queen Ka`ahumanu Center in an effort to promote retail entrepreneurism among today’s youth.

Participants have created items from scratch, and are offering a service or reselling a product purchased from a wholesaler. Businesses are expected to have minimal parental involvement.

The following businesses will be present on Saturday, July 28: BFFF…..by friends, for friends; Camry’s Lolli Cakes; Create A Creature; Cupcakes!; DiS N DaT; Kai Nani Jewelry; Lemonade Rocks!; Rebecca’s Healthy Sweet Treats; Sweet Scents; Sweet Snax & Tings by Tees ♥

“We are excited to put kids in business and offer this opportunity to budding retail entrepreneurs,” said Lisa Paulson, the marketing manager at the Queen Ka`ahumanu Center, in a written statement.

“Allowing kids to sell their products or services in a retail environment will give them a real taste of what it takes to run a business. We’re looking forward to hosting these ‘merchants of the future’.”
