Korean Woman Dies at Honolua Bay

A 64-year-old woman from Korea died after rescue crews responded to calls of a possible drowning, officials said.

The incident was reported at 11:33 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7 at Honolua Bay in West Maui.

Ocean safety lifeguards and bystanders were on scene performing CPR when crews from Engine 11 arrived.

Authorities say fire personnel took over CPR and assisted medics on their arrival.

Efforts to revive the woman were unsuccessful.
