Firefighter Promoted to Hazmat Specialist

The Maui Fire Department announced the promotion of Timothy Herrick to the rank of Firefighter II.

Herrick is a 10 year veteran of  the department, having served previous assignments in Wailea, Lahaina and the Kahului Fire Stations.

Under his new promotion, Herrick will work as a Hazardous Materials Specialist.  His promotion takes effect on August 16, at which time he will be assigned to the C-Watch with Hazmat 10 out of the Kahului Fire Station.

“We are very proud of this achievement by Firefighter II Herrick,” said Maui Fire officials.

“Timothy is a key member of our team and is an outstanding example of the caliber of firefighters we have serving our community,” said a statement from department officials.
