Eight students were arrested at Kealakehe High School on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi on Thursday following a fight on campus.

Kona patrol officers responded to a call at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2012,  reporting a fight involving 20-30 students.

When officers arrived, police say the crowd had already begun disbursing and the campus was on lock-down.

Seven male students and one female student were charged with disorderly conduct and released. Authorities say none required medical attention.

All after-school activities at Kealakehe were canceled yesterday afternoon, and police say the school will remain closed today (Friday, December 7, 2012) for the safety of the students.
