UPDATE: Missing Maui Man Located

The missing person has since been located as of 1:06 p.m.  Authorities say the man was an Alzheimer’s patient.

Authorities from the Maui Fire Department are seeking the public’s help this afternoon in locating a missing Maui man.

Authorities say 74-year-old Clarence Hoopii was last seen at around 8 a.m. at the top of Malaihi Road in Wailuku.

Officials say Hoopii is of Hawaiian ethnicity.  He was last seen wearing blue jeans, black or gray shirt, black boots, and dark glasses.  He is 5’8″ to 5’9″ and weighs 120 pounds.
