Medics from Lanai medevaced a 76-year-old Lanai City man to Maui after he suffered from stroke-like systems on Tuesday afternoon.

Maui County Paramedics Association spokesperson Ryan Joslin said Medic 13 on Lanai was dispatched to the incident at 1:54 p.m., and found the local male patient in critical condition.

Medics initiated Advanced Cardiac Life Support Care, and transported the man via medevac to the Maui Memorial Medical Center for further treatment.

Authorities say the flight time was 19 minutes.
