Fire crews from Hana were dispatched to Koki Beach for reports of a possible drowning at 3:13 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23.

The man was pulled out of the water by beach goers who initiated CPR prior to the arrival of fire personnel on scene, said Maui Fire Services Chief Lee Mainaga.
