Upon investigation, no suspicious devices were found, said Lt. Ibarra.

The decision to evacuate, he said, was issued by mall management.  Patrons to the Maui Mall Megaplex said it appeared as though the focus of the search was in theater area.

Both the Maui Police and the Fire Department’s Engine-10 from Kahului responded to the incident.  An all clear was given at 8:53 p.m.
