A plan to fix Upcountry drainage problems will be the focus of a Hawaiian homestead meeting this Sunday in Kahului.
The Waiohuli Undivided Interest Lessees Association will meet from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Feb. 3, upstairs at the Hawaiian Canoe Club.
Association members also will discuss mortgage pre-qualification and affordable housing.
The Association represents 289 Native Hawaiians, who may select half-acre lots in Waiohuli as early as 2015, according to estimates from the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands.
