Immigration, Veterans & Education Focus of Gabbard’s Maui Visit

Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard is visiting several open-press events in the coming days, including several Maui stops on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.

During her visit, she plans to meet with officials and constituents throughout the Second Congressional District to discuss issues related to her work in Congress with a focus on immigration, veterans affairs, and education.

The Maui visit includes a 10 a.m. tour of the Maui Airport Fire Department, and Kahului Runway to discuss the department’s priorities and needs.

Rep. Gabbard will then host a veterans forum at 11:30 a.m. at the Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu.  During the event, she will join in the discussion on the needs of local veterans.

Gabbard’s Maui visit will conclude with attendance at the Mayor’s State of the County Address, scheduled to take place at 5:30 p.m. at the HP Baldwin High School in Wailuku.
