A 278 gallon wastewater overflow was reoprted in Kihei on Kenolio Road on Saturday, May 4, 2013, county officials said.

The overflow was reported at 10 a.m. and was attributed to grease in the mainline, according to a press release issued by the County of Maui today.

The wastewater reportedly flowed out of three manholes fronting the Southpointe Apartments, and into a nearby storm drain.

Authorities say no wastewater reached the ocean.
