According to Capt. Haʻake, the fire caused $250,000 in damage to the structure, $50,000 to its contents, and $50,000 to miscellaneous vehicles within the property including a Hummer mentioned in news reports.

The fire was reported at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013 on the corner of Jacaranda Street and Third Avenue.  Later information pinpointed the location as 260 Ilima Avenue, which is the same property, but extends to the next cross street.

No injuries were reported, and residents impacted were being assisted by the Red Cross agency.
