Waterline Break Results in Partial Outage in Kahului

A portion of Kahului is without water this afternoon due to a waterline break of an 8-inch line on Oʻahu Street in Kahului, county officials confirmed.

According to information released by the Maui Department of Water Supply, customers are without water on: South Oʻahu Street from Hina Avenue to Lono Avenue; and Lāʻau Street from Lono Avenue to South Oʻahu Street.

DWS Administrative Officer Jacky Takakura said crews are currently repairing the line and water should be restored by 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013.

Customers can call the DWS 24-hour service line at (808) 270-7633, only if a water problem occurs.
