Few Report Feeling 3.9 Labor Day Hawaiʻi Quake

Few people reported feeling a 3.9 local magnitude earthquake reported at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 2, 2013.
According to response recorded on the USGS “Did you feel it” website, only two reports came in from Kamuela, and one each from Nīnole and Paʻauilo on Hawaiʻi Island.
The USGS issued a report this morning saying the quake was centered 60 miles NNE of Laupāhoehoe; 60 miles NNE of ʻOʻōkala; 62 miles NE of Paʻauilo; and 73 miles NNE of Hilo, Hawaiʻi.
The depth of the quake was 17.9 miles according to USGS reports.
