A portion of Pāʻia is without water this morning due to a broken waterline reported last night on the Hāna Highway, water officials said.

Affected areas include customers on the Hāna Highway from Ai Street to the intersection of Baldwin Avenue.

Personnel from the Maui Department of Water Supply are repairing the main line, and water service is expected to be restored at approximately 10 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 12, said Administrative Officer Jacky Takakura.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution and follow traffic control on Hāna Highway in the area of the reapirs.
