The state Department of Transportation has announced several road projects that will impact traffic on Maui roadways this week, between Nov. 16 and 22, 2013.

Motorists are advised of road work this week along two sections of the Hāna Highway. In Honomanū near mile post 14, a single lane closure is in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. between Wailua and Pāpaʻaʻea Road.

Also on the Hāna Highway in Kahului, state transportation crews are working to install road utilities between Kaʻahumanu Avenue and the Haleakalā Highway, with work taking place in the overnight hours from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

In West Maui, motorists are advised of ongoing work to repair ocean erosion damage that has undermined the shoulder lane foundation of the Honoapiʻilani Highway between Front Street and Kai Hele Kū Street, fronting Launiupoko State Park.

The speed limit is reduced on the approach to the work zone. Motorists are also advised to expect delays and to follow all posted traffic control devices through the area.
