A 15-year-old juvenile male was reportedly assaulted by seven individuals while walking alone at night on the University of Hawaiʻi Maui College Campus near the Harbor Lights Condominium complex, police said.

The alleged incident took place at 10:35 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7; but police say it was not reported until two days later, when the father of the victim filed a report.

According to police reports, the victim told authorities he could not identify the responsible individuals because of limited visibility, other than they were all male.

Police say there were no witnesses to the alleged assault, and the victim sustained unspecified non-life threatening injuries and refused hospital treatment.

The case was classified as an assault in the third degree.
