Tikiz Shave Ice & Snow Shakes opens its first Hawaiʻi location in February at the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center in Kahului, Maui.
The chain, known as Tikiz Shave Ice & Ice Cream on the mainland, operates franchise trucks as part of the mobile ice cream truck industry.
The Maui location will be a free-standing kiosk at the center’s food court, where shave ice will be sold along with the company’s unique snow shake creation that is a blended beverage made from shave ice ingredients.
According to the company website, corporate president Vince Rosano will be developing Tikiz Shaved Ice & Ice Cream throughout the state of Hawaiʻi.
“Queen Kaʻahumanu Center is an ideal location for us to introduce Tikiz to Maui,” said Rosano in a press release.
“We are committed to providing a unique, fun experience to each and every one of our customers. We also are strong supporters of our local communities. When hired for local fundraising events, we give back 20% of our proceeds to help with the fundraising efforts,” he said.
Earlier this month, the Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center announced the planned opening of action sports brand Vans at the center in late summer.
