ʻOhana by Hawaiian Launches Inaugural Flight to Molokaʻi

Hawaiian Airlines’ newest interisland operation, ʻOhana by Hawaiian, launched its inaugural turboprop service to Molokaʻi on Tuesday, March 11, 2014.

The company announced the service includes three daily flights between Honolulu and Molokaʻi using a 48-seat ATR-42 turboprop aircraft.

The new service comes a week ahead of a separate launch of twice daily service between Honolulu and Lānaʻi on March 18. Hawaiian Airlines says the last time they had regular service to either location was in 2004. According to a company press release, the new ʻOhana by Hawaiian operation creates more than 100 new Hawaii-based jobs in the air transportation industry.

The flights depart Honolulu for Molokaʻi at 7 a.m., 12:15 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. Return flights to Honolulu from Molokaʻi depart the Friendly Isle at 8:05 a.m., 1:20 p.m, and 6:35 p.m.

The twice daily flights from Honolulu to Lānaʻi depart at 9:30 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. beginning on March 18. The return flights leave Lānaʻi for Honolulu at 10:40 a.m. and 3:50 p.m.
