A water outage is affecting parts of Kahului at this hour due to a broken waterline reported this morning.

Crews from the Department of Water Supply anticipate restoration of water service to affected customers by 1 p.m. today, June 3, 2014.

The affected area includes:

  • Hōlua Drive between Ohaʻa Street and Nāholo Circle
  • Nāholo Circle between Ikai Street and Hōlua Drive
  • Lalani Circle between Hōlua Drive and Pūʻolo Place

Water Department personnel advise affected customers to flush their waterlines for a short time this afternoon following repairs, to ensure that no sediment accumulated in their water lines during the project.

In addition, customers should call the department’s 24-hour service line  at (808) 270-7633, only if a water emergency occurs.
