The EA SPORTS Maui Invitational basketball tournament begins ticket sales today for a limited number of all-day reserved and single-game general admission tickets for Maui residents.

The tickets are available at special Maui rates today and tomorrow only, with a limit of two tickets per game per person.

Tickets are available for a limited time at Anthony’s Coffee in Pāʻia, Hi-Tech Surf Sports in Kahului, Mulligans on the Blue in Kīhei, and Paradise Grill in Kāʻanapali.

Tickets will be offered at the above locations from 9 a.m. to the close of business on Friday, Sept. 26; and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 27, until sold out.

Ticket Prices with Special Maui Rates:

  • All-Day Reserved (North Grandstands): $200/Day
  • Single-Game General Admission (East End Bleachers): Games 1, 2, 3, 4, or 11, $60/Game (Day 1 Game and Wed. 3rd Place)
  • Single-Game General Admission (East End Bleachers): Games 5, 6, 9, or 10, $25/Game (Day 2 & 3 consolation)
  • Single-Game General Admission (East End Bleachers): Games 7, 8 or 12, $85/Game (Semifinals & Final)

The premier early season college basketball tournament takes place Nov. 24 to 26, 2014, at the Lahaina Civic Center.

This year’s tournament features:Arizona, BYU, Kansas State, Missouri, Pittsburgh, Purdue, San Diego State and host Chaminade.

In addition to the actual tournament, there are kids and coaches clinics planned on Maui.

Maui Coaches Clinic: Oct. 23, Baldwin High School

The coaches clinic takes place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23, at Baldwin High School in Wailuku.  The clinic is designed for high school, middle school and community basketball coaches, and features instruction by national champion head coach Jim Harrick, EA SPORTS Maui Invitational Tournament Chairman Dave Odom, Chaminade men’s basketball coach Eric Bovaird, and Chaminade women’s basketball coach Bobby Keanini.

Coaches will share their knowledge of game strategies, management styles and coaching skills.  The event is free.  To register, visit www.goswords.com or call Chaminade Athletics at (808) 735-4790.

Kids Clinic: Nov. 22, Lahaina Civic Center, outdoor courts

The 2014 Adidas Hoops Maui kids clinic, presented by Hawaiian Airlines takes place from 2 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Lahaina Civic Center, outdoor courts.

The clinic is offered free of charge to kids in the 3rd through 8th grade, and features instruction from Chaminade coaches and select Chaminade men’s and women’s basketball players.

Each participant gets a souvenir t-shirt and basketball.  Registration is required and space is limited.
