Wells Street Reconstruction to Result in Traffic Impacts

Road reconstruction on Wells Street in Wailuku begins on Saturday, Sept. 27, with major construction to continue on weekends through Oct. 19, 2014.  This excludes work during the Maui Fair weekend on Oct. 4 and 5.

Work will take place on Saturday’s and Sundays between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Crews plan to continue with minor construction work on weekdays through the end of November.

The first phase of the road reconstruction project will take place on Wells Street between High and Church Street.

The second phase includes work on Wells between Church Street and Kinopōpō Street; and Phase 3 will take place between Kinipōpō Street and Waiʻale Road.

Motoirists are advised to follow traffic control measures and expect traffic impacts in the area.
