Maui’s Wehiwa Colt Kamaka Wins 2014 Health Baby Contest

Kahului’s Wehiwa Colt Kamaka was named the 2014 Healthy Baby of the Year at the contest held Saturday at the 92nd Maui Fair.

Kamaka takes home four round trips on Mokulele Airlines, a two night stay at the Westin Kāʻanapali Ocean Resort Villas, and a variety of other prizes.

The new Healthy Baby winner was among 101 contestants who were registered in this year’s event, presented by Mokulele Airlines and HMSA.

The runner-up prizes for the 2014 Meadow Gold Healthy Baby Contest went to the following:

• 1st Runner Up: Ayzen Anthony Minoʻakaokalani Barlahan of Makawao
• 2nd Runner Up: Juriah Himmerson-Sakamura of Kahului
• 3rd Runner Up: Radden Kalawaiʻa Pagaduan, of Wailuku; and
• 4th Runner Up: Maia Napuaonalani Mendoza of Pāʻia

All winners received prizes from the following sponsors: Dr. Cally Adams, DDS; Maui Fair, Maui Ocean Center; Maui Thing; Round Table Pizza, Paradise Grill; Pukalani Superette; TJ’s Warehouse; Ah Fooks Supermarket; Takamiya Market or Dani’s; Red Door Portrait Design; Aloha Poi Factory; and Island Grocery Depot.

All contestants received goodie bag items from from Mokulele Airlines; the UH Maui College, Dental Assisting Program; Dr. Cally Adams, DDS; Round Table Pizza; Aloha Poi Factory; and GEICO.
