Maui Menehune Basketball Tryouts Begin

The Maui Department of Parks and Recreation announced it will be holding Menehune Basketball tryouts for boys and girls in the 6th through 8th grades, beginning on Oct. 27, and continuing through Nov. 5, 2014.
A child may try out for a team that is in his or her school district or the district in which they live, and only one tryout is allowed per child.
Dates, times and locations of the tryouts are as follows:
Central Maui: War Memorial Gym
- Boys
- Kahului/Maui Lani: Oct. 27 to 31, 3:30 to 5 p.m.
- Wailuku/Waikapū: Nov. 3 to 7, 3:30 to 5 p.m.
- Girls
- Kahului/Maui Lani: Oct. 27 to 31, 5:15 to 6:45 p.m.
- Wailuku/Waikapū: Nov. 3 to 7, 5:15 to 6:45 p.m.

- Boys
- Nov. 3, 4 to 6 p.m.
- Nov. 4, 6 to 8 p.m.

- Oct. 28, 5 to 7 p.m.
- Oct. 29, 4 to 6 p.m.
- Oct. 30, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

- Boys – Lahaina Civic Center Outdoor Dream Court
- West Maui Area: Oct. 27 to 31, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
- Girls – Lahainaluna Outdoor Court
- West Maui Area: Oct. 27 to 31, 4 to 5:30 p.m.
