Staff Shortage Results in Missed Kīhei Trash Route

The County of Maui’s Department of Environmental Management, Solid Waste Division missed trash collection on a route in the Kīhei service area today due to a staff shortage.

Affected areas include: Halalai, Kaiola, Luluka, Kuʻu Home, Papau Komohana, and Papau Hikina Place; ʻAhaʻaina Way; Halalai, Papau, Hoʻopili Akau, Malimali, ʻImihale, and Kūlanihākoʻi Street; all streets off of Kūlanihākoʻi; and the Betsill subdivision.

County officials with the Solid Waste Division apologized for the inconvenience and anticipate picking-up trash on the missed route tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 14, 2014.
