By Wendy Osher
The Shops at Wailea hosts its Wailea Leʻa event, an evening under the Wailea stars, on Wednesday, Nov. 19, featuring free live entertainment by Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame musician and Kumu Hula, Robert Cazimero.
Cazimero is known for his contemporary Hawaiian music and hula, and often performs with his brother at their annual Lei Day Concert on Maui.
The event runs from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the fountain courtyard and includes a menu of samplings from the center’s restaurants and eateries that include Longhi’s, Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Lappert’s Ice Cream.
Fustini’s Oils and Vinegars will have an on-site tasting contest as part of a bake-off competition to benefit the Maui Culinary Academy.
The Shops at Wailea also welcomes it’s newest merchant, the Honolulu Cookie Company, which will be on hand to share samples of its products.
Wailea Leʻa is a signature monthly event held on the third Wednesday evening of each month at The Shops at Wailea, a shopping and dining destination that is home to more than 70 merchants.
