UPDATE: On Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, Maui Police say Edward Gillmore returned home and he is in good health. The Maui Police Department thanks the public for their assistance.

Maui Police are seeking the public’s help in finding Edward A. Gillmore, a visitor from Canada who was reported missing by a family member on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, when he failed to return home as scheduled.

Police say Gillmore was staying in the Kīhei area.

He is described as Caucasian, standing 5-feet 11-inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with green eyes and balding hair.

Gillmore is also described as an avid bicyclist and was last seen in a gray, Mazada 5 SUV with the Hawaiʻi license plate LEL171, which belongs to Avis Rental Car.

Police say he utilizes a red and black bicycle helmet when riding his “Cervelo” touring bicycle and may possibly be wearing a cycling jersey.

If Gillmore is located, anyone with information is asked to contact the Maui Police Department at (808) 244-6400 or call Detective Barry Aoki of the Kīhei Criminal Investigation at (808) 875-5404.
