Chinese New Year Celebration at Lahaina Cannery Mall Feb. 21

Lahaina Cannery Mall will bring in the Chinese New Year with firecrackers, dancing lions and martial arts masters on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The free, family-friendly event will be led by Au’s Shaolin Arts Society, offering an authentic cultural experience to inaugurate “The Year of the Sheep” for West Maui residents. A hula performance by Halau Te Tiare Patitifa will precede the celebration at 1 p.m.

Every week, the mall also holds the following classes, shows, and presentations:

· Free ‘ukulele lessons at 5:45 p.m.
Every Tuesday and Thursday
· Polynesian Performances Hula Show at 7 p.m.
Every Saturday
· Keiki Hula Show at 1 p.m.
· Maui Toy Works – Yu-Gi-Oh Card Session from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Every Sunday
· All-ages comedy and magic with Holden Mowat at 11:30 a.m.
· Keiki Hula Show at 1 p.m.
