UPDATE: Missing Person, Perez Found in Good Health

***Update: 2:10 p.m., 3/13/15, Missing Person Randy Perez was located by the Coast Guard today on his boat offshore in Lahaina. He was found to be in good health. The Maui Police Department thanked the public for their assistance.
***This is the second missing person case today involving an individual with no local address on Maui. Also today, police released photos of Ashley Newton, who was reported missing by her uncle who resides on the mainland.
Maui police released a photo today of a man reported missing earlier this week by his mother who resides in Connecticut.
Police say Randy Perez, 30, is believed to be homeless, and may be residing on his boat named “Serenity.” He is also known to frequent the Kīhei and Lahaina areas.
According to police reports, the boat was located anchored in waters outside of Launiupoko in Lahaina; however, the vessel was unattended.
The missing person report was filed at around 1:38 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
Randy Perez is described as a 30-year-old Caucasian male, standing 5-feet 6-inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with blondish-brown hair and brown eyes.
If located, police advise the public to contact the Maui Police Department at 244-6400, or dial 9-1-1 if it is an emergency.
