Parts of Mākena will be without water on Monday and Tuesday, April 6-7, 2015 while crews from the Maui Department of Water Supply work to replace a water valve.

The work will take place between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on both days at the intersection of Mākena Road and Honoiki Street in South Maui.

Water officials say replacement of the valve will require that the water be turned off in the area.

Water supply will be interrupted for customers located on Mākena Road between Uweloa Place and the end of Mākena Road, adjacent to but not including Mākena Beach and Golf Resort.

Motorists traveling through the area are asked to drive with caution, and customers are asked to set aside water needed for the duration of the outage period.
