Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice Wins Gold ‘Aipono Award

Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice in Kahului won the prestigious Gold ‘Aipono Award for “Best Shave Ice.”
Ceremonies were held on April 26 at the ‘Aipono Awards Gala at the Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa.
The awards are determined by No Ka ‘Oi Magazine readers –the residents and visitors of Maui.
This is the first year that the ‘Aipono Awards has included a “Best Shave Ice” category.
Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice has also been awarded five stars on Yelp, TripAdvisor and Urbanspoon–among other notable accolades.
For all 50 flavors, Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice uses 100% pure cane sugar, filtered water, premium purees, natural fruit juices and extracts, carefully selected concentrates and only the freshest local ingredients.
Flavor highlights include coconut, guava, pineapple and lilikoʻi. Special add-ons include Maui-made Roselani’s Gourmet Vanilla, Gourmet Macadamia Nut or Premium Haupia Ice Cream. Additional add-ons may include toasted coconut, azuki beans and fresh mochi balls.
Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice has six locations on Maui–Sugar Beach in Kīhei, Dairy Road in Kahului, Maui Lani in Wailuku, two locations on Front Street in Lahaina, and the newest location, poolside at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa.
Outside of the shops, Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice has a catering team who bring their gourmet shave ice experience to local, visitor and corporate events throughout the Valley Isle.
Brand expansion plans include Oʻahu and Los Angeles this year, and global expansion through franchising in 2016.
